Project Story: Economic Development
The City of St. Louis found itself in competition with a few other municipalities in the region when the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) announced plans to move its NGA West Headquarters. When the selection proposal team found that the message they had developed was not connecting with key decision makers, they turned to the story experts at Solstice.
We:
Reviewed current messaging and feedback received
Developed a central message that would downplay the negative history of the proposed site and focus on the unique opportunity of access and connectivity that the site offers
Gathered key leaders in local government, business, technology, and culture to disseminate the message through video, email, PR, and social
Partnered with a group of specialists in economic development to connect with and deliver the message to the small, targeted group of decision makers
RESULT:
Repeatable message adopted by all stakeholders
Site awarded $1.75B facility
