By aligning strategy, story, and systems, Solstice helped a custom fabrication client turn complexity into clarity—

strengthening culture, improving communication, and supporting teams at every stage of growth.

Strategy

Building on a long-standing marketing partnership, a custom fabrication client engaged Solstice to help improve team alignment across a rapidly growing organization managing complex, custom work.

As a custom fabricator, the company manages many different project types simultaneously—often across multiple divisions and customer requirements. Projects are frequently one-offs, with evolving scopes of work, unknowns at the outset, and a high degree of coordination required between sales, engineering, production, and support teams.

Through a series of facilitated group discussions and stakeholder conversations, we identified several key areas of opportunity:

  • Increasing leadership transparency across departments

  • Improving access to shared knowledge and institutional expertise

  • Strengthening training and visibility around cross-department processes

  • Creating clarity and consistency in how projects move from opportunity to execution

The strategy focused on creating alignment without adding friction—supporting flexibility where it’s needed, while reinforcing clear expectations and shared understanding across teams.

Stories

At its core, the company’s culture is built on embracing challenge and innovation.

A strong legacy team—with decades of experience and a history of success—provides the foundation for the organization. At the same time, newer verticals, technologies, and team members are expanding what’s possible for the business.

The opportunity wasn’t to replace what worked—but to connect it.

By intentionally linking teams across generation, role, and department, the organization could:

  • Leverage the deep knowledge and problem-solving instincts of the legacy team

  • Empower newer team members with context, confidence, and clarity

  • Reinforce a shared identity rooted in craftsmanship, adaptability, and continuous improvement

The story became one of continuity and evolution—honoring where the company came from while supporting where it’s going next.

Systems

Solstice translated the strategy and stories into practical, repeatable systems the organization could actually use.

This included:

  • A content strategy designed to support culture, communication, and training

  • Completed content delivered as:

    • Short-form and long-form videos

    • Leadership and process presentations

    • Email and text message templates

    • Training documentation and reference materials

Rather than introducing new tools or platforms, Solstice worked alongside internal HR, Marketing, and Administrative teams to implement the strategy using the company’s existing systems and workflows.

The result was a scalable communication framework that:

  • Improved visibility and alignment

  • Reinforced shared processes

  • Supported onboarding, training, and ongoing communication

  • Could evolve as the business and its projects continue to grow and change
