Behind the Scenes of a Squirrel’s Out-of-Hand Holiday

Every year when we start planning our holiday video, we ask ourselves a simple question: What perfectly captures the spirit of the season… and the delightful chaos of marketing?

This year, the answer showed up in the form of one very determined (and slightly overwhelmed) squirrel.

As we worked through concepts, storyboards, and the usual “this might be too much… or not enough?” debates, we kept coming back to the same idea: the holidays—and marketing—tend to get out of hand fast. One shiny distraction becomes five. A perfectly good plan catches fire (sometimes literally). And just when you think you’ve got everything under control, a new acorn rolls in and throws the whole strategy off.

So we built a behind-the-scenes holiday adventure inspired by real conversations with clients who juggle deadlines, tools, content requests, unexpected fires, and shifting priorities—all while trying to stay focused on what actually matters.

Our animated squirrel became the stand-in for all of us:
